Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer, Vice Chair of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, issued the following statement after Chairwoman Nora Vargas completed her second State of the County Address at Southwestern College in Chula Vista on Wednesday, February 21.

“I appreciate how Chairwoman Vargas connects the policy to the people we are elected to service,” said Supervisor Lawson-Remer. “As she said tonight, a lot has been done. Over the last three years, together we worked to protect reproductive freedom in San Diego County, deliver more childcare resources to working families, remove ghost guns from our streets, help the homeless and fought for more resources to address the United States - Mexico sewage environmental crisis. But we have plenty more to do, and I am eager to continue partnering with her to get it done.”
