SAN DIEGO (AUGUST 29, 2023) – Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer and the San Diego County Board of Supervisors today ratified the August 15, 2023 Fourth Supervisorial District Special Primary Election. After the vote, Supervisor Lawson-Remer issued the following statement:

“Thank you and congratulations to our County Registrar of Voters, our Vote Center workers and the entire team for doing an outstanding job. Given the circumstances of holding a special election during the summer, turnout was strong and everything ran smoothly,” said Supervisor Lawson-Remer. “It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in San Diego County’s electoral  process.

“On a personal note, looking ahead to the November run-off, I am eager for our Board of Supervisors to return to progressive majority after the election so we can pass a common-sense gun violence prevention education program our community requested of us, and get back to finding our next Chief Administrative Officer,” Lawson-Remer said.
