Description

With frightening gun violence in the national news again, I want to ask that you join me in fighting against the scourge of shootings – specifically, untraceable and illegal ghost guns

Will you sign my petition? And make sure to check out the video below for a glimpse at how these guns are made.

As you know, working to end the epidemic of gun violence is one of my primary commitments as your Supervisor, and I am fighting to make sure the County does its part. I’m working to protect our communities by pushing for:

  • Common-sense gun safety laws
  • Expanding background checks
  • Using red flag laws to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous criminals, including those accused of domestic violence and people with mental health issues.

Have You Seen This Make-Your-Own-Gun-At-Home Machine?

Trying to sell an illegal “ghost gun” machine? Not on my watch.

Watch this video to see one of these illegal contraptions.

Don’t let its appearance fool you. While it looks like one of those easy-bake oven toys, it's designed to create deadly weapons. One of these devices can turn simple slabs of metal into homemade components for deadly semiautomatic firearms, including AR-15s and AK-47s

Ghost guns have been used in many mass shootings – including the deadly shooting in the Gaslamp Quarter in 2021 – making them a clear threat to the safety of our communities.

It shouldn’t be this easy to make an untraceable gun. That’s why I’m working to hold greedy gun manufacturers accountable for illegally selling machines like this in San Diego County.

Did You Sign?

Companies that profit from death and destruction are going to continue making money unless we stand up and fight back. We are committed to stopping them from producing and selling these ghost gun manufacturing devices in California.

Will you stand with us?  Sign our petition here!

Thank you for your partnership. Together, we’ll continue working to keep our region safe for our loved ones and families.

In Service,

Terra
