These militarized immigration raids are transforming our peaceful neighborhoods into war zones. We’re not going to accept San Diego being warped into a battlefield where restaurant workers are rounded up like enemy combatants as law-abiding residents take an afternoon stroll.

If we don’t push back now, we’re going to be living in a country where dinner with your family can be shattered as agents with assault rifles throw flash bangs in the middle of a crowded street. This shouldn’t be how we do things in the United States of America.

These over-the-top raids are ridiculous, and I fully support Rep. Peters; and Rep. Vargas’ call for an investigation.
