U.C San Diego undergraduate and graduate students have an exclusive opportunity to win a RAD Power Bikes Electric Bicycle, helmet, lock and warranty. There are 15 opportunities to win. Associated Students teamed up with Circulate San Diego, the County of San Diego and the County’s representative for the UC San Diego area  Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer to bring this opportunity to campus.

To win, students must:

Supervisor Lawson-Remer whose office administered the grant to Circulate San Diego for the e-bike giveaway is a fighter for transportation and environmental sustainability in San Diego County as the representative of the UC San Diego campus and its surrounding neighborhoods.

“We are excited to partner with Associated Students and Circulate San Diego to bring this e-bike drawing to UC San Diego,” said Supervisor Lawson-Remer, Vice Chair of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. “My office is focused on making our county greener and cleaner by reducing carbon emissions, and electric bicycles are a part of the solution.  After speaking with students earlier this year, and learning they too cared about this issue, we saw this giveaway as a way to support students and help improve the environment.”

Circulate San Diego partners with local governments, school districts, and other nonprofits to create planning and community engagement programs.

“As the County of San Diego continues to invest in bike infrastructure, there has never been a better time to get an e-bike. They are fun, environmentally friendly, and help remove cars from our congested roadways,” said Jeremy Bloom, Circulate San Diego’s COO. “The UC San Diego E-bike Giveaway promotes enhanced mobility options, encouraging a shift towards eco-conscience transportation solutions that benefit both the campus and the surrounding neighborhoods.”

Associated Students at the University of California, San Diego serves as the recognized undergraduate student government.

"We are excited to bring Supervisor Lawson-Remer to campus and provide the opportunity for students to engage with their elected official," said Alex Ross, Associate Vice President for the Office of Local Affairs. "We look forward to students learning more about sustainable transportation options and having the chance at winning a new electric bike. See you on the 28th!"
