Media Statement from San Diego Board Chair Terra Lawson-Remer On The Citizen’s Measure
San Diego County Board Chair Terra Lawson-Remer issued the following statement after the San Diego Board of Supervisors today approved placing the Citizen’s Measure on the November ballot:
“As Chair of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, I am proud to place this citizen's measure on the ballot because it takes direct action on the urgent issues our communities are facing right now — stopping toxic sewage pollution from the Tijuana River, protecting access to affordable healthcare and preventing cuts to our hospitals and clinics, and strengthening 911 emergency response and wildfire preparedness," said Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer, Board Chair. "These are core public safety and public health responsibilities, and giving voters the chance to consider this measure will help ensure the County can protect every San Diegan."
